THE BEST THING ABOUT EASTER THIS YEAR...

Midnight Truffle Blizzard from DQ! It's a serious dessert for dark chocolate lovers. Since we don't have DQ in Oklahoma anymore, I get pretty excited when we are out of the state and I get one of these!

Okay, so maybe it was the second best thing...

This really was the best thing! I have to beg the family to stop for a group picture nowadays...and this gorgeous background beside the church Sunday morning turned out to make a beautiful family photo. Not to mention no one needed a haircut and everyone looked pretty decent! Pretty amazing now that they are paying for their own haircuts. All except the little one. :)
And, just throwing this one in there to let you know old habits, like a basket full of Easter goodies, die hard. I brought these sacks of goodies from home for them to open the night before Easter. They opened them in the hotel room while we watched the end of the "Ten Commandments" and they oohed and ahhed over everything to satisfy their mama.

That is a really great picture of all of you. Not an easy task with five people! Glad you all got to be together this year. They are never too old for Easter baskets! After reading how Vilonia nearly got wiped out, I'm glad we all drove home from Arkansas on Sunday and not Monday with the tornadoes and flooding. We drove right through there! Thank God for His protection.

Yes, and we were letting our kid in Driver's Ed. take us home! Was pretty nerve wracking through that pouring rain! We finally made him stop and trade drivers at Henrietta.

I was going to get one of the mini turtle DQ Blizzards on the way home from Meade that day, but we went a different road and never found one! It's a perfect size and just right for my one-time-a-week sugar treat!
Great pictures :).

I agree - a great picture! And I totally agree about the Blizzard - just a different flavor for me! And you are a sweet Momma to stil give them surprises!

Everybody was looking at the camera and had good expressions on their faces. Also makes for a good family photo.

That's weird, we stopped in Henrietta also because the rain and lightning were so bad. Waited it out in Braums for a while then finally left.
