How about some "cute fruit" ideas for the summer? Sorry, the kindergarten teacher coming out in me...I love saying CUTE FRUIT!
They weren't Pinterest perfect but I did make these for a wedding shower the other day. The bride's colors are plum and peach so I figured out some fruits that would work for those colors - cantaloupe, kiwi, and grapes! Let me tell you folks, it's not easy cutting a curved piece of cantaloupe with a cookie cutter, but they turned out pretty well. A friend helped me cut the cantaloupe the day before - because I was worried the fruit might not be sweet and didn't want to do this at the last minute. Then the day of the shower we cut the rest and assembled them. We also cut the toothpicks in half so they would fit and not show, although it probably would have been better for picking them up if they did show - they just weren't in the Pinterest pic I saw so I made them that way.
Pretty table for the shower!
