SOMETIMES EVEN BIG KIDS NEED MOMMIES...

After getting tangled up in a barbed wire fence (assignment for photography class), we got a call from our college kid last night, telling us he was in the ER getting his finger looked at...and we just happened to be in the middle of a fundraiser talent show with my other son!  Wow, tough call for me!  I love watching my kids and their friends perform!  Well, call me a BAD MOM (and you can add my husband in that category too, I guess):  I stayed at the show, making sure my son had a dependable friend with him who wouldn't leave him!  I did get him some of the wonderful home-made goodies they sell at these fundraisers!  AND I did get to tie his shoes for him this morning!  Never thought I'd be doing THAT again!  We're thankful it was only 17 stitches and he's doing okay!

Glad he's doing well. That's a lot of stitches! Heal quickly, W!

Did that take up his entire finger? That seems like a lot. But glad he's doing okay, and I'm sure he was fine without you!

That's a lot of stitches! Yikes! I"m assuming he isn't in a spring sing show?

Sorry for the poor writing today, guys. I was in a hurry, obviously! Yes, Michele, the stitches went from the tip of his finger to his palm. No, he's not in a club so no SS this year. He did take all the club photos in the program, though!

Good grief, that is a lot of stitches! Was he climbing barbed wire or something?

He was on a photography assignment in a field and hopped over some barbed wire fences. His shoelace got caught and as he tried to get it free he lost his balance or something and grabbed the fence, ripping his finger. It's a pretty nasty cut and he's fortunate!

Oh my word, that's a lot of stitches. I cut my hand once picking corn and got 5 - I can only imagine 17! Glad he is okay...I'm sure he appreciated the home made goodies too. You are a good mom - he looked like he was taken good care of.

Wow 17 stitches is a lot. Bill had 11 after a run in with a table saw.
