THE HOMEMADE GIFT EXCHANGE...

tradition keeps on going! What started as a joke at Thanksgiving many years ago has become one of our (or at least my) favorite traditions! My husband has 5 siblings, so the only gifts we exchange are the home-made type. Here's the goodies from Christmas, 2010:
Here we are holding what our respective families made this year - my mother-in-law and niece, included. One of his sisters is not pictured, as she insisted her gifts weren't finished...I think she's been too busy with her first grandchild this year!
Close up view - Snowman decoration, Christmas card holder, Tennis ball stress reliever (the poem tells you what to do with it), cutting board, refrigerator magnet, jolly rancher star Christmas ornament, and button Christmas ornament.

Even though all I did was wrap our gifts this year, most years I am the one making the gifts, so it was nice to have a break this time! I hope we continue this tradition for many years to come!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Love the homemade gift idea. I've already bought stuff for next year for some of the homemade gifts I make.

I LOVE this idea! I think it really keeps things in perspective... and fun too!
