BIRTHDAY GIFT FROM MY 18 YR OLD SON...

Isn't this awesome? It tasted awesome too! As my husband and I slaved outside making yard improvements, he invited a friend over to help make me a chocolate cake for my birthday. It has to be one of the moistest cakes I've ever had...and the secret ingredient is ICE CREAM! Click HERE for the recipe!

Just looked up the link to see the recipe. After reading some of the comments, it's amazing how many different ways this cake can be made, depending on the flavor of cake mix and ice cream. Would love to know if anyone else tries it. A caveat...don't fill the pan more than 2/3 full of batter or you may have an overflow issue!

Right now, I'm sitting at my desk eating salad, and craving something sweet. Instead of eating something sweet I just clicked on your blog to look at your cake. :)
Thank you!

Happy Birthday! This post just reinforces to me that I will teach Wesley to cook/bake so he can cook for himself by the time he leaves for college, but also so he can make me desserts like that on my birthday :-)
