were some of the delicious food we had at a friend's daughter's wedding last weekend! Maybe this is a new trend, or maybe it just reflected the bride and groom's tastes, but whatever it was, it was great. We got in line where a chef was grilling sandwiches and he used fresh spinach, sauteed onions, and tomatoes as add-ons to the basic grilled cheese. Also, in addition to other foods, we ate potatoes out of a martini glass! I had the sweet potato version with pecans and brown sugar. My friend sitting next to me just raved about the regular potatoes with goodies, too. What interesting foods have you had at wedding receptions lately?

The last wedding we attended had an ice cream bar. I thought that was really fun and our kids, of course, loved that, plus cake (2 kinds) plus punch - a child's dream. Maybe I should try that next time we do grilled cheese!
Bill's cousin got married in Kansas City in June. The bride's family is from India. The food wasn't different but the bride changed into a sari for the reception and back into her wedding gown for cutting the cake.
been to the potato bar at a wedding, and one that brought out krispy kreme's at around 10:30 PM...been to the full sit down dinner too, like had to pick if we wanted prime rib or chicken BEFORE we came to the wedding! ; ) fanceeee! ha ha
If I ever get married I'm having the worlds greatest food at my wedding. I might have to try these...especially grilled cheese.
